Breast cancer affects women of all ages, and is on the rise in developed countries, leading many to search for a natural cure. Breast cancer occurs when a malignant tumor forms in the breast, and natural cures attempt to arrest the growth, destroy the cancerous cells and detoxify the causative agent in the body.
Types
Natural breast cancer cures are usually herbs or other natural substances such as vitamin D, Essiac and Black Cohosh.
Vitamin D
According to the Moores Cancer Center at UCLA, 600,000 cases of breast and colorectal cancer could be avoided each year if the world's intake of vitamin D were increased. In fact, short sunbathes daily have been found to reduce almost all forms of cancer, making the sun a natural breast cancer cure.
Essiac
Essiac is an herbal formula based on Native American herbs that is widely touted as a natural cure for breast and all cancers. Essiac can be found at health food and herbal stores, or ordered online (see Resources).
Black Cohosh
Black Cohosh is an herb that is widely used as a female hormonal regulator, and may have an effect on breast cancer as well.
Precaution
All herbs and natural medicines, especially in cases of breast cancer, should only be used under the supervision of an experienced practitioner.
